Review for Lego Arctic Batman vs Mr. Freeze

Hi, everyone this is Greg Olego, here with another review. I got this set a couple weeks ago, and today I'm going to review it. This set is called Arctic Batman vs Mr. Freeze: Aquaman on Ice (by the way, the box has a typo. They misspelled the word "arctic" and wrote "artic"). It has 198 pieces and cost $19.99 in the US.

It includes three minifigures and is very "cool" (sorry, I had to). Here is the back.

And here it is. It includes Aquaman, Arctic Batman, and Mr. Freeze, a trident, Mr. Freeze's ice gun, an ice cube thing, and the Batboat.

Here is Aquaman. He has a fish-scale texture on his orange torso, his trident, and a grim face.

Here is Aquaman's angry face. He also has blond hair, which can be used on other minifigures.

He also has back printing and bright green legs.

For scale, here is me next to him.

This is Arctic Batman. Instead of his normal, black costume, he has a white and grey suit, cape, and hood. He also has a grim face.

Here is his grin/smirk/grimace face. His head piece is not really usable on anyone else, except for maybe a gymnast. The reason is because Batman's eyes are white, therefore he wears a white band on his forehead.

Here he is from the back. His cape is plain white.

Here he is from the back again. He has muscle printing and grey and white legs.

For scale, here is me next to him.

Here is Mr. Freeze. He has his freeze gun, an angry face, and an Atlantis theme diver's helmet.

He has plain white eyes, no hair, and a detailed torso.

He also has back printing and black and sand-blue legs.

For scale, here is me next to him.

Here is the ice cube thing. It has clear-blue rock pieces and a white base.

you can put nearly any minifigure into it using two studs on the base.

There is a lever on the side. When you press it, the ice will blow off of the base.

For scale, here is me next to it.

Here is the Batboat. it is so big (10 inches long) that I could not fit it into the picture. It has a black and yellow color scheme.

Rear view. It has a flame on the back and two bombs. When you push down on a bomb with your finger, it will pop off. It also has a bat-wing piece.

Here is the cockpit. It has a steering wheel and controls.

Instead of flick-missiles, it has "flick disks". I think they are an interesting variation on the normal projectiles. I hope to see more of these in the future. You can also remove the smooth bottoms and use them as "bat-pizzas". Be careful, though: the firing mechanism is powerful!

It also has batarang storage.

For scale, here is me next to it.

I tried to interview Aquaman. This is how it went:
Me: So, how was being frozen in ice?
Aquaman: It was very cold, of course. It was also uncomfortable.

Me: What is it like, being a superhero?
Aquaman: A whale needs my help! I must go.
Me: Okay, bye.

Me: Hello, Batman! I am Greg Olego. Do you want to answer some questions?
Batman: Okay.

Me: Who is the hardest-to-defeat villain you have ever fought?
Batman: I would have to say the Joker.

Me: What is it like, being a superhero?
Batman: Somebody needs my help! I must go.
Me: Okay, bye.

Me: Mr. Freeze!
Mr. Freeze: What?
Me: Do you want to answer some questions?
Mr. Freeze: Fine.

Me: How do you feel about being defeated by Batman? Again?
Mr. Freeze: ARGHH!!! (starts spraying ice everywhere)

Needless to say, I ended the interview there.

All in all, I give this set a 9.6 out of 10. You get three exclusive minifigures, the Batboat, and an ice block. However, I would have liked to see an Arctic Robin.

Till next time,
This is Greg Olego, over and out.

Review for Lego The Hobbit Riddles for the Ring

Hi everybody this is Greg Olego. I got a new Lego set yesterday and here it is. This set is called Riddles for the Ring. It has 105 pieces and it costs $9.99 in the US.

It comes in a small, "finger-open" box and contains two minifigures . Here is the back.

And here it is! It includes Bilbo Baggins, Gollum, Bilbo's sword Sting, the One Ring, a fish, Gollum's boat, and a rock. It also comes with a spare Sting, Ring and some spare bones.

Here is Bilbo. He has his journey/quest torso, his trusty sword Sting, and a weary-looking face.

Here is Bilbo with the other, scared side of his head piece showing. He also has orange hair in the new "Hobbit" mold.

He also has back printing and short, tan legs.

For scale, here is me next to him.

This is Gollum, who has an evil, suspicious face. His arms are interesting, for he seems like he has robot hands, but in fact they are like minifigure hands instead.

Here is Gollum from the back. He has hair printing on his head. His head, body and legs are all one piece, so only his arms move.

For scale, here is me next to him.

Here is Gollum's boat. it is a simple build, only 12 pieces, but it has some interesting bone elements.

For scale, here is me next to it.

Here is the rock. It is the main part of the set, but it only took me about 20 minutes to build. It has some interesting functions. It is also good for supplementing a cave MOC.

You can put Gollum onto a flat tile at the top of the rock. (One little thing: I find the little slanted rock works to hold Gollum better if you put it next to where the instructions tell you to put it.)

You can turn the rocks on the front to reveal a rock thingy.

The rock thingy has a lever attached to it. When you turn the lever the rock will flip onto its side and reveal the ring.

For scale, here is me next to it.

I tried to have an interview with Gollum. Here is how it turned out:
Me: So, Gollum, what do you like most of all?
Gollum: My Precious.

Me: OK, what do you like to eat?
Gollum: My Precious.

Me: So, do you play any sports?
Gollum: My Precious.
Me: Do you realize that's all you've said during the whole interview?
Gollum: My Precious.

Me: Ugh, I'm going to go interview someone else.
Gollum: My Precious.

Me: Bilbo! Do you want to be interviewed?
Bilbo: AHH! What? Sure, OK.

Me: What have you been doing lately?
Bilbo: I've been on an Epic Quest.

 Me: What is it?
Bilbo: I'm going to defeat a dragon with a bunch of dwarves.

Me: Sounds fun!
Bilbo: Fun? I'm not so sure. It's been very hard so far.

Me: Nice talking to you, Bilbo.
Bilbo: Indeed.

All in all, I give this set 9.7 out of ten. It could have maybe come with a goblin, but it's great as it is.

See you around, this is Greg Olego, signing off.

P. S. To all you Gollum fans out there, I did not in any way intend to downplay him.
